The AK 47 Kalashnikov Vodka Souvenir Bottle
The AK 47 Kalashnikov Vodka Souvenir Bottle is a rare collectors item. It has a very limited production life of 13,000 bottles only (for the entire global market) and it is made by the Glazovsky Distillery, the only producer of the famous Kalashnikov Vodka.
When you purchase your souvenir bottle of AK 47 Kalashnikov Vodka from ARMS Agencies Pty Ltd, you will receive the full specification original AK 47 Kalashnikov Vodka Souvenir Bottle.
Your AK 47 Kalashnikov Vodka Souvenir Bottle will be delivered still encased in the original cardboard Kalashnikov cover. When your bottle arrives we cannot guarantee that the cover will not have some damage from being scuffed and thrown around, but after all, that is what the cardboard cover is supposed to do, absorb the knocks and bumps. The manufacturer has phased out the printed cardboard boxes, so they are mostly now just plain cardboard boxes.
The Wooden Carry Case
Your AK 47 Kalashnikov Vodka Souvenir Bottle comes complete with its own genuine AK 47 Kalashnikov wooden carry case, the same as the actual AK 47 Machine Gun is delivered in. The carry case is made of sturdy treated wood, it is painted ‘military green’, it has strong metal hinges and metal clips to hold the case securely fastened and it also has a metal carry handle firmly screwed into the wooden frame. To distinguish your case from the original machine gun case, there is a large black sticker on the front of the case which says Kalashnikov Vodka. The inside of the case has a wooden strip with a curved cut-out, fastened in place to support the barrel of the bottle and there is a section in the base of the box that has been recessed to house the butt of the bottle, to keep it all securely in place.
Your AK 47 Kalashnikov Vodka Souvenir Bottle is also secured to the wooden carry case by a double loop of twine that is fastened through a hole drilled through the curved cut-out and wrapped around the barrel of the Bottle and then the two ends of the twine are compressed in a marked lead seal. Please don’t allow children to play with the lead seal and if you break the seal, dispose of it carefully.
The colour of the paint on the wooden carry case does vary between different batches, from the ‘dark military green’ shown, to an almost black shade of green and a lighter more modern jungle green colour. The metal handle, clips and hinges have also changed design and colour in later production runs and they are now mostly black, with a slightly different clasp mechanism used.
The bottle itself is in the shape of the AK 47 Kalashnikov machine gun and has a capacity of 1 litre of Vodka. The bottle is made of one piece clear glass and the labelling is black ink printed onto the butt of the bottle. The ‘bottle top’ as such is made from black plastic or metal and incorporates a front sight, the same as the AK 47 machine gun. The bottle has an additional label attached for compliance with Australian alcohol and importer origin laws.
ID “Dog Tag”
Each bottle has its own unique ID or “Dog Tag” showing the number of the bottle in the production sequence. The ID Tags are applied to the bottles in a random order, so we are not able to provide any consecutive numbers. The ID Tag shows the production number of your bottle placed above the total number of bottles that will be produced (13,000), with the two numbers divided by a line and the letters A and K - one on either side of the numbers. The ID Tag is made of metal and the writing on the ID Tag is etched into the ID Tag. The ID Tag is attached to the barrel of the bottle, using a small metal chain. Counterfeit bottles have been produced and found in Europe, using different letters on the Dog Tag. The counterfeit bottles we have seen to date, seem to have been sourced through Poland.
