Kalashnikov Vodka is a unique vodka that is only made in the Russian Federation. The Russian Distillery that makes Kalashnikov Vodka has the rights to use the name “Kalashnikov” with its vodka and it is the only distillery to have reached such an agreement with Major General Mikhail Kalashnikov, the inventor of the “AK 47 Kalashnikov Machine Gun”.
The Distillery that manufactures Kalashnikov Vodka was established in 1900 and is reputable and award winning Distillery. The Distillery has achieved certification to ISO 9001-2001 and has been exporting products around the world for well over a decade.
The vodka used in the AK 47 Kalashnikov Vodka Souvenir Bottle (as distinct from the normal shaped bottle of vodka produced by the Distillery called “AK47”) is original Russian made vodka and is made to the highest standard of Russian Vodka, called Lux. Russian Vodka can be one of 3 qualities - Spirit Essence, Standard or Lux, with Lux being the highest quality of Vodka. Kalashnikov Vodka is Lux Grade Export Quality
The official description for the vodka as provided by the Distillery is:
Vodka “Kalashnikov***”. The ingredients are:- specially prepared drinking water (softened, filtered and cleansed of all impurities); ethyl spirit of Lux quality, refined sugar, distilled glycerin, iodinated salt and vanillin. The strength of the vodka is 40%.
Kalashnikov Vodka was the first Vodka in Russia to be made using the above combination of ingredients and has been successfully produced since 1995. In all, the Distillery has won some 27 medals and awards with its Kalashnikov brand of Vodka since 1995.
